Designing thoughtful & easy-to-
understand experiences
I’m Aivo, a Senior UX/Product Designer who builds clear, accessible products for complex, data-driven projects. I work with researchers, engineers, and stakeholders to turn messy requirements into simple, testable interfaces.
My strength is communicating ideas in plain language, through prototypes, diagrams, and thoughtful content, so teams align faster and launch better products.
How I got into UX
I started in graphic and print design, drawn to typography and visual craft. But I wanted to see people use what I made, which led me into web design, front-end development, and eventually data-heavy products for public programs. My visual design roots still shape my work, but I’ve built on them with UX expertise, an MBS from Rutgers, and constant self-learning. Staying curious keeps my skills sharp, close to users, and fuels my advocacy for them.

My career journey
What it’s like to work with me
Calm under pressure, practical about scope, and relentless about clarity. I translate research into decisions the team understands and design for inclusion from day one.

Outside of work
Originally from Estonia and now in the U.S., I bring perspectives from two cultures. Outside design, I’m a busy dad and dog-walker, and I love exploring history and spending time with family. These experiences shape how I approach design: clean, modern, and simple to use.
